Day 2, 21.5.800 Savasana + Writing Challenge. Wassup with the Elephant Hawk Moth & …

Yesterday, was a surprising warm ‘n’ fuzzy feelin’ day despite only 3 hours sleep. The United Energies of Yoga even had my new friend, Hadley Pollet, Queen of the Jacquard Braiding, tweeting me to meditate everyday, then the Universe will provide clues… Sounds a bit too, whoo whoowee, but in terms of Earth calling The Well-Heeled Guru‘s translation, I already feel a sense of focus and seeing things more clearly. Anyway, back to me again, I had energy to last me to bed time, which I thought would be earlier. I also thought that last night’s sleep would be deep and recouperative… no such luck. Plus twilight surfing for random schtuff is really not conducive to developing sleep…  so if you received a comment from me and it wasn’t posted a double digit # of hours ago, delete all comments, cos I was probably delusional… After the kids have left for the bus, I whip out a 45 minute Yogaglo Vinyasa Flow class with Jo Tastula, where I witnessed some break throughs, heard some different ways of doing the same thing and all in all broke out into a sweat in my living room. Not used to sweating when doing a home practice, kind of like that… I didn’t finish Jo’s class, cos I wanted to use Isabelle du Soleil’s guided meditation from yesterday. Again, for me it’s just brilliant to be able to get through 15 minutes of Savasana & with Isabelle’s to be taught how to breathe. Go figure, I needed to be taught how to breathe, but so glad I am taking the time to learn how to slow it right down. I’m thinking that it will refuel me so that I can go at my usual 100mph but not looking like a headless chicken but determined and sleek, like hmmm, what animal…

So 1 hour later, I feel chipper and good to go… To be continued…

Back now. Wassup with the Elephant Hawk Moth… My creature of choice for a speed & purpose, plus for a moth, it has unusually attractive colouration. For more pictures on how attractive moths can be, check out these photos by Richard Revels super high speed flash photography, these moths are zippy nearing 40mph, apparently…

Looks like a digression, but at least I learnt one thing new today, which is what I always try to inspire in my kids and maybe some of the folk around me. Kinda nice to have a reason & place to record it officially…
