Plank + its Well-Heeled Guru breathes a breath of fresh air into + out of the yoga studio, and says it as it is…

In response to my frankness of yesterday’s post, when discussing my ADD and comfortability with letting people know that I, medicate + meditate, some would consider it inappropriate to be so open. The whole point of Planks images and The Well-Heeled Guru’s perspective is to have thought provoking images and ideas that inspire conversation of what a yoga practice can look like + what it can be to each individual. When I say I medicate + meditate, it is an authentic + honest fact of my life. I was diagnosed recently with ADD, as part of my treatment I have 2 medications to help me stay focussed, I also practice yoga very regularly, where I receive my meditation doses. I even have customers who share their own or a significant other’s struggles with ADD + for them yoga has been really helpful to reduce/maintain/eliminate their med intake, how cool is that… ¬†Anyway, it’s as simple as that, what other’s read into the phrase, medicate + meditate, I have no control over but I can be cognisant that a little more explanation can help qualm worries that Plank does not endorse mass pill-popping. As explained in earlier post, it’s actually the opposite, Plank celebrates the ability to throw away one’s medications, due to, the highly beneficial results of a regular yoga practice…

Plank + The Well-Heeled Guru’s visual + verbal perspective outlined, through its images, Blog, Fanpage, Twitter and more, comes from my personal experiences in + out of the yoga studio. It is a grounded view + is spoken from the heart, to spark real conversations that will allow anyone to receive, see + feel yoga’s benefits, whatever their circumstance, ailment, age, gender or belief structure…

WHG, an expert in all things, shoes + heels + fitting yoga into a busy lifestyle…
