Your own ‘New Vintage’ Balenciaga, without the moth balls, care of Louis Boston…

If any of you went to Louis Boston this weekend and saw the curated selection of Balenciaga vintage pieces on display and were wondering what it was all about, apparently the House of Balenciaga was showcasing some of their classics that are still remarkably relative, for people to own ‘New Vintage’ piece. They have kept in their vaults all the original materials, original embroideries, fastenings or accessories etc and will use the same factories as used in the original collection, to make you your own ‘New Vintage’ Balenciaga original. It’s sort of a combination of Vintage without the mothballs and stains, mashed with Bespoke, mashed with Couture, mashed with one step closer to having a personal connection with the design team at such an esteemed house. I wish I had known a bit more about what was actually happening at the event, as I would imagine any lover of fashion, be they student or ardent fashion follower  would. I, for one, would have picked the brains of the organisers and brought some of my fashion loving friends with me. We may have even been inclined to try on an a dress or 2, to see how real craftsmanship can transform our states of being…

Louis Boston's Balenciaga Archive Collection Event, your opp to have your own...

If the collection is still on go check the pieces out, try them on, take a picture of yourself, I’d love to see one of them on a real person…

Also at the weekend, Louis Exposure hosted a mini mart of local bests, Sarah Barney’s jewellery, Vintage bikes c/o Menotomy Bicycles, Kiss Cup Cakes, Pain D’Avignon, a personal fave bread of mine being the francophile I used to be + Nightbyrd Luxury Bedding (I believe are Boston based now)…

It was lovely to see the open space of Louis Boston really feel like an open space for Boston & their next door neighbour’s talent…

P.S For all of you absolutely dying, not, to know if I’m keeping the Lanvins, they’re sending the correct size, we shall see…
